Desert Days

During our recent trip to Los Angeles, we decided to spend a few days away from the city. I love LA as it never fails to inspire and amaze me. Getting out there was so calming though and Joshua Tree turned out to be yet another enchanting gem to discover in California.

Desert Days in Joshua Tree

We found our perfect hideaway, a beautiful AirBnB apartment right in the middle of the desert. Located on the rim of Joshua Tree National Park the Saguaro Hideaway Guesthouse was magical and by far the most special AirBnB apartment I ever rented.

Interior Love

Elegantly furnished with many lovely and tastefully details, it proofed to be the perfect place to relax and clear the mind. In an instant I felt comfortable, cozy and at home.

Garden of Eden

Attached to the House is a huge garden, with a little patio (including a hammock and barbecue) that invited us to unwind and enjoy the stunning sorrounding nature. I am a giant cactus-lover so thanks to the desert vegetation it was pure paradise. The nature left us no choice & we took a million pictures in this wonderful desert setting.

While we spent our days exploring Joshua Tree and Palm Springs (there is aseperate Post coming up covering my Palm Springs Highlights) we enjoyed long breakfasts and homecooked dinners in our desert home.

Having a desert garden that feels like paradise all to ourselves it would have been a shame to miss the unforgettable sunsets and sunrises. And let me just tell you – getting up in the middle of the night definitely payed off.

The guesthouse as well as the whole area is calm and peaceful and made me feel at total ease. All the noise, the desired but also overwhelming impressions from the city were immediatley gone for a while – a nice contrast to all our La La Land – Adventures!

  1. What a beautiful spot – I know you know that I’m a fellow JT fan. That Air BnB looks lovely! As much I’ve loved camping the last couple of times it would nice to have a bathroom and maybe take some pretty pictures in dresses. I also have a “glow” about in pictures from there aka sweat ;p I’m looking forward to your post about Palm Springs!
